The rainforest is calling!
The rainforest is calling! There are seven days left to complete the campaign. Support this urgent cause of acquiring and expanding our nature reserve for the conservation of the Amazon rainforest.
To date, we have raised $10,620USD / 26% of the total funding goal required for this campaign thanks to generous contributions. This helps us protect a total of 25 acres.
We need an additional $29,000USD to protect a total of 100 acres.

River Dolphins in the Morona: A Hope for the Amazon
In September 2024, technicians from the Amaru Foundation, with support from WWF Ecuador and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MAATE), conducted the first training expedition on river dolphin monitoring, traveling more than 60 kilometers along the Morona River. During the study, more than a dozen pink river dolphins (Inia geoffrensis) were recorded, especially in locations near Puerto Morona and the Selva Eterna Reserve.
This effort is part of the National Plan for the Conservation of River Dolphins, which was officially published for Ecuador last April and is valid for the period 2025–2035, reaffirming the importance of the Morona River as a key habitat for Amazonian aquatic biodiversity.
Selva Eterna protects the life that flows with the river.
Researchers examine amphibian skin secretions in the Eternal Rainforest.
Researchers from the Catholic University of Cuenca conducted a sampling session in our reserve to examine the skin secretions and microbiota of Amazonian amphibians, particularly those belonging to the Phyllomedusa genus.
These actions aim to identify bioactive compounds with therapeutic potential and to detect emerging diseases, including chytridiomycosis.
Scientific progress emerges from the forest, safeguarding unique species and producing essential knowledge for their conservation.
Project directed by Dr. Jazmín Salazar and Biologist Pablo Quinteros, with assistance from Selva Eterna.
Researchers observe primates in the Eternal Rainforest to enhance Amazonian conservation efforts.
Student researchers, under the supervision of Dr. Diego Tirira, undertook specialized monitoring to assess the diversity and conservation status of primates within and surrounding our reserve.
These scientific endeavors are essential for comprehending the status of these species, many of which are endangered, and for formulating strategies to preserve them and the biodiversity of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Science that safeguards, knowledge that sustains!
The consolidation of the Selva Eterna Nature Reserve is advancing with the assistance of the San José de Morona Parish Council.
During a public meeting with indigenous leaders from San José de Morona, the San José de Morona Parish Council conveyed its institutional support for the establishment of the Selva Eterna Natural Reserve.
This commitment, realized during the dissemination of locally relevant projects, represents a significant advancement in the collaboration among communities, authorities, and conservation stakeholders to safeguard Amazonian biodiversity.
